Although it’s still cold with over a foot of snow on the ground outside, we know that Pizza Season will soon be over. There’s been enough thawing recently that our faith that the ground still exists has been renewed. But warm weather means the end of using our fireplace oven until next winter. We’re making the most of it!
We tried a new technique this time- rolling out the dough as thinly as possible, then putting the crust on the pizza peel before adding the sauce and toppings. The pizzas could be bigger this way, and they were good. I think it was easier to monitor the cooking progress this way.
At any rate, a favorite dinner- we all liked it.
