Havana Beans

Another “Central American” recipe, discovered while baking blueberry muffins.

These were just fine. A little bit too sour because of our acidic tomatoes. I think another teaspoon of sugar would have been enough to take care of that. Nothing special, but not too difficult or time-consuming, either.  Everyone ate them.

Along with rice, we ended up serving them with tortillas. And home-made applesauce.
