Here’s a meal we wouldn’t be enjoying if Mark hadn’t been forced to try it out of politeness when my sister invited us over for dinner before we got married. He thought it sounded terrible, but…
He likes it! He likes it!
Everyone likes it!
These are Reames egg noodles. When I make the noodles, I roll them thin and cut them wide, just like Grandma used to make. Mark’s plate is pictured- he prefers to drain the noodles and eat them separately from the mashed potatoes. I mix them, with the broth.
The very yellow mashed potatoes are made from German Butterballs, left from our fall markets.
Green beans from our pantry- also from the fall Garden.
Ubiquitous applesauce, homemade from Michigan apples.
